I've read repeatedly that you shouldn't change the Edit Manager Settings once the season starts. The question is "why"? What adverse effect does it have? It would seem that different park ratings, opposing catcher ratings, opposing SP for the upcoming game, running power hitters vs. contact & speed hitters (changing base running preferences) and other elements would benefit my team with a "tweak" here and there per game on Manager Settings. I'm tempted to start toying with it just to see what happens. Comments?

I've never seen anyone saying that you shouldn't change the manager settings during the season. I don't see why that would be a problem. I do it often late in the season or during the playoffs.

I adjust often to suit the opponent.

I change them daily
