i don't have data that's not purely anecdotal, but across my three leagues--at all levels--i've had more injuries and worse injuries the last three or four seasons, with teams that have varying degrees of medical/training allocations. was this tweaked in the sim engine, or am i just having awful luck?

Likely awful luck. They communicated that they significantly lowered the amount and severity of the off the field injuries. This checks out -- ever since they changed this, ive had little to no off the field injuries. However, they have not done anything to on the field injuries. I've had streaks of poor luck as well. Not much we can do other than vent about it.

I would say I have seen a marked increase in injury severity and frequency but without a large enough sample size it is impossible to really determine chance vs meaningful change.

I have noticed this as well. My St. Louis team in Gibson has had a string of injuries for the past 2 to 3 seasons that have just been downright brutal.

I doubt anyone would post if they noticed that they had less than normal injuries, though. When we have poor luck, we remember. When we have good luck, we likely convince ourselves it's normal.

Larry Edwards pitches and gets pulled normally, nothing about an injury, then after the game I get a message saying he is out 16 days with artoscopic knee surgery. Never seen a 'non-baseball injury' put a guy out that long.

They used to be often and significant for players with low health ratings.
