Greetings,

I know I’ve seen it in the forums but can’t find it, so sorry for a new post…

what is the number of games you have to wait before calling up a prospect to the Bigs in order to save a year of major league service time?

For me the easiest way to remember it is the game before one real-life week after the first minor league game. Minor league seasons always begin on the AM cycle. So if the minor league season starts on Friday AM cycle, you can bring up prospects after the following Thursday's PM2 cycle.

Just to clarify saintonan's old calculation in this old post for others looking for the info, I think it would be "after the following PM, not PM2 cycle," right? That would be 20 days...
