How so? I would rather some of them go up and be unplayable than feel like I had to play them to be competitive. If Merrifield went up to 6 million and Marte went up to 8, no one would play them anymore. But so what? Plenty of other choices.

And I don't think you have to do dynamic pricing every 4 months. Every year when then new crop of players hit would be just fine.

Because some of the salaries make no sense now. The better way is to -maybe once a year when a new season is available- change the salary structure. Dynamic pricing, the way it was implemented, was never going to work properly.

OK, I see. I didn't fully understand what dynamic pricing is. I agree there should be a yearly price adjustment based on usage.

Dynamic pricing, in theory, isn't a bad idea. But they screwed up the application of it. The algorithm that determines the price updates of players used the ownership percentage as the basis. The problem was that the initial ownership percentage was used for each quarterly update... so the SAME players had their salaries go up at each pricing update.

Although the powers to be were eventually made aware of this problem, they either don't have the resources to fix it, or don't care enough to fix it.

I doubt they will be amenable to coming up with a new dynamic pricing algorithm.

Agree with schwarze, it would be a good idea if done probably. Nothing staler than having the same salaries for years and years to the point where OL teams are all clones of one another because everyone knows who the cookie players are.
