There was a stadium update a few (several?) months ago with four cities added (Tokyo, Cuba, London, Seoul). Nothing new is in the works as far as I know. At that time, a lot of the stadium ratings changed to make them more neutral instead of extreme (hitter- or pitcher-wise).

Stadium updates were listed on the dev roadmap that was released a couple days ago. I thought it was curious too given the relatively recent update to stadiums.

I'm pretty sure you are looking at the update from last year on 5/19 (no year on that one and today is only 5/12). Scroll down to the bottom for the latest update.
