So my DIII team in Smith is OK but not great but I have a guy I took on a flyer due to his potential who just finished his SO year and is a 707 and still not in my two deep. Not bad at anything but not really good at anything either. Really laughing at a guy on his way to being an 800 and can't be good at DIII.

He'll be fine logging minutes for you as an upperclassman with good IQ. Lots of rebounds, good efficiency. The only issue will be he'll pick up fouls against some superior ath opponents. But he'll be a nice player for you at D3, on the whole. Don't be afraid to use him, especially if there's room at SF.

Even if we were talking man, I think it would be overstating to say his defensive deficits would kill you at D3. Worst case, you bring him off the bench at the 3 and 4 as a high distribution super sub, he gets 16-18 mpg and drops a pretty efficient 12-14 ppg with reasonable distribution; plus he rebounds. I don't know many D3 teams that couldn't benefit from that. And in zone, you pair him with a solid defender, he can start and get 20+ minutes per game, and like I said, the only issue is he will occasionally get into foul trouble. But depending on how much potential is left in those scoring categories, he's anything from a solid to elite D3 scorer as an upperclassman. Don't waste that getting caught up in what he doesn't do.
