Recruiting Class Rankings Topic

Can anyone weigh in on how class rankings are measured in recruiting? For one of my teams I currently have a top place in recruiting after filling my only open scholy with a solid SF, but pretty much every other team in the top 10 objectively seems to have a way better class. Do they take into consideration how the class will fit with your current roster? Was just wondering.

I really don't pay any attention to them.

I believe those rankings put way to much emphasis on unfilled scholarships.
Not uncommon to see a school that signed a 3-star recruit, that has no available scholarships, ranked ahead of a school that signed a couple 5-stars, but has a couple spots unfilled.

I just looked at the rankings in Allen. Florida A&M signed a 609 rated player but have no openings. They are ranked above Missouri, which signed the overall top ranked player, but has one opening. Really? Would anyone choose the FAMU guy over a 813 rated #1 with a roster of only 11.

Recruiting rankings are garbage

They don't factor in potential at all so literally useless junk. Worse than preseason rankings, they have 0 meaning besides for new players who don't know they are completely useless and irrelevant

Always considered them irrelevant, just didnt know if there was something in particular that weighed more heavily in the ranking.

A great way to verify how many open scholarships an opponent has though...
