Can somebody explain to me how to put say an non catcher in slot 1 in the draft center team?

You can put for instance the famously cheap SS with 641 PA/162 1892 Frank Stuart with 2 Games at Catcher and Performance History 32% CSPCT

A few of us figured out how to really manipulate it many, many years ago. We figured out how to not draft pitchers - just position players. The sim would use position players to pitch, and they'd pitch quite well. That got shut down really fast once it was noticed. Once of my teams got royally shafted when admin closed that loophole on a league that just started. All I had at my disposal was 2 AAA pitchers. I called one of them up, and they put up some crazy bad rookie records that will never be broken.....
