I learned a lot about recruiting action impact by reading Shoe's "guess the odds" posts here on the forums, so I recommend taking a look at those.

Assume SCSU promised 25 minutes and did an extra 5 visits; they also match you at C+ prestige (and may have a little better score in the Wants Success category, too). That's a lot of mitigating factors, where you only really have 2 clear advantages (defense and conference). If they outspent you on AP too, they might well be ahead of you.

How far away is SCST? 70 miles is close but if they are closer it’s a bigger multiplier.
