The SimBaseball is fun, but I only played a little bit. I read that there are just value picks that you have to have on your team in order to compete so folks tend to play with similar players on their roster. I'm not sure how true this is, but if it is, it is a deal breaker. For Gridiron, a Senior QB or red shirt senior stud QB will throw 50+ TD passes and no interceptions, but a senior or red shirt senior stud RB will still fumble so it makes less sense to build a Dynasty with stud running backs and Oline. So, all the elite programs get the best QBs/Wrs/TE and just pass with a little bit of run mixed in. It's just not as fun as it could be due to the unbalanced godly QB.
At least in hbd, there are about 4 different ways to build your team (trades, draft, free agency, IFA market) and you can combine them in some capacity. On top of that, there are multiple ways to build a winner (pitching and defense; pitching and offense; pitching, defense and offense). Would love to see a similar looking pig skin game that emulate the NFL, but I know it's just a dream.
