Player is drafted with 19th pick in first round and demands $7m to sign. I offer the $7m and player says he needs to wait. Offer never withdrawn.

Later in the year, player says he needs $11.34m to sign.

My understanding is that since the original demand was met and never withdrawn, this would qualify for a D pick next season.

However, my "available" prospect money now includes the $7m and says $0 has been "offered". To get the D pick, do I need to leave that $7m there (even though it's not being shown as offered) or can it be used for INT FA players?

You can use it for an IFA.

I have the 3rd and 6th pick in the draft and the draft class looks like one of the worst I’ve seen, is it possible to have both guys not sign and have 2 Type D picks along with the one I get from this season? I’d obviously draft aggressively so I’d offer knowing they aren’t going to sign

One of those picks has to be a type D from the previous draft. You don't get a compensation pick for a compensation pick. So you'll lose one of the two picks with that strategy.

Yep. Whichever one of those is the Type D comp from last season, if you don’t sign that player you won’t get comp for it next season.

Yes you do. I've gotten compensation picks for type D picks not signing. Been over it in the forums here. Sorry but I'm too lazy to look it up. You'll just have to take my word for it.

Confirmed, you can get a Comp D pick for a Comp D pick. Took over a team with #1 pick and low scouting, had #2 the next season and still didn't like the players and finally got the guy in the 3rd season which was #3 overall Comp D pick.

What is the lowest round draft pick you can get a compensation D pick from? Is it 3rd Round? 5th Round?

3rd round yields a pick at the end of the 3rd round the following year. nothing beyond the 3rd rd will get you a D.
