Ohtani more than 9 million is ridiculously high, also only 71 speed for a guy with 59 stolen bases seems wrong
down to 7 million, makes more sense

I don't see Shohei Ohtani in the list of 2024 players. Wonder if there was an oversight there.

EDIT: Nvm, just can't seem to find the 2024 Ohtani using search function, have to look up 2024 Dodgers first and then find him that way. Weird.
2024 Ohtani (and this is true, I believe, for all pure-DHs who have no defensive ratings, such as Edgar Martinez in 2002-03):

WILL show up if you search for:
Position = All, "Include Secondary Positions" box unchecked
Position = DH, "Include Secondary Positions" box either checked or unchecked.

WILL NOT show up if you search for:
Position = All, "Include Secondary Positions" box checked.

I am not sure why this happens, but it does.

it appears to me that for some reason searching for the 2024 players (position and pitcher) by "First" (rookies) is not working correctly...just lists very few...seems other season's search by "First" is working well

has anyone else experienced this?

I am having issues with players not showing up when drafting manual AAA and I have zero restrictions set. No minors salary cap

I have experienced this also. It is the way their data is set up. When looking at the player spreadsheets, they have columns for first seasons and last seasons. A "1" in the first season indicates it is a rookie season, a "1" in the last season indicates a final season. Zeros in those columns indicate those seasons are neither rookie nor final seasons. Most of the 2024 columns have "NULL" instead of 0's or 1's. Without the correct 1's in the rookie season column, the WiS won't be able to identify them as rookies.

This also occurred for 2022 and 2023 players releases. Once a new season of players are released, it appears the columns are updated. 2022 and 2023 have mostly 0's and 1's now. Once 2025 players are released, 2024 should be corrected. Not sure on WiS's processes and why the "NULL" is most of the 2024 columns instead of the correct 0's and 1's.

WOW....what an impressive - if not, disappointing - explanation - I don't remember it being an issue last season - maybe I didn't try to use that function....

I have a player spreadsheet version that was released just after the 2023 player release. I can confirm most of the 2023 rookie and final season columns are filled with "NULL". It is possible that WiS might have updated the player spreadsheets sometime in 2023 but I think the chances of that are low.

if you send in a ticket and ask them to fix this, they probably will

Only 14 pitchers with IP/G > 6. None > 6.4. I really don't like modern baseball anymore.

Is it even possible to sim a 2024 full-season replay with a 25-man roster?
I was surprised there are 4 pitchers with over 200 IP in 2024!

I got 2024 draft league up. 6/6 below avg AAA to help with the IP

I haven't played in a while, but are regular leagues still filling up? I come to the idea that a game like this is the best in the market, since you play against others and it's not a pay to win, and you can use every player that ever existed. The AAA though they should show up who they are, instead digging in the system. Thinking about coming back...... Do pitchers hit in this game or is there a universal DH?

Short answers:
Regular leagues (called "open leagues" here) fill up within a day or two
Theme leagues (advertised in the Theme League Classifieds) may take longer

The following points apply to Open Leagues:
-- No DH; pitchers hit
-- No longer include AAA players (this is a big change if you are used to the way the game used to be)

In theme leagues:
-- DH may or may not be used; up to the league creator
-- May or may not include AAA; if AAA are included, the league creator has the option to use real names

Thank you Contrarian! You have perfectly answered my questions. Glad the game is still going strong. The only thing that irks me is that rules aren't the same as the current MLB.
