Recs for Training/Medical budgets for rebuild team Topic

What do you recommend for Training and Medical budgets for a new, rebuilding team? Wanting to keep budget for prospect scouting/acquisition, of course. Not interested in keeping players healthy this season, but don't want to stunt their development with a big IL stint. (Has HBD changed it to "IL" or is it still "DL"?). And need to be able to adjust it in future years, which if I recall is $6mm max change per year after year 1.

Everyone will tell you to get your training budget up to 20 as soon as possible. I run my medical budget in the 10-12 range, but many owners run it higher. And yes, it is still the DL in this game.

Training is preventing injuries. Medical is recovering from injuries. One popular tactic is to go 20 in training and 0 in medical.

$20mm for Training and $0 Medical is very interesting. Would you do this in Year 1 of a total rebuild? I'm liking the idea.

Not unless that is where you'll be keeping it for a long time. You can only change it $5M per season so it will take you 2 seasons to get it down to $0 and then can only improve it $5M per season to rework it to the level you want. Personally I keep both at $15M whether rebuilding or an established team.
