Two of my impending free agents are telling me, "I'm not signing with a team just so they can trade me for a boat load of prospects in 2 months.".

What has your experience been with the probability of these types of players re-signing?

That's just a message indicating you'll need to add a no-trade clause. He'll sign if you do.

So yeah. There's the message you get pre-budget and then the real message once budgets set.
Sometimes that message will remain, in which case you'll need to add a no-trade clause.
