In the WIS update 12/11/24 WISBob stated, "I'll be dropping in every other Wednesday to let you all know what we're working on and the progress we're making." What has happened since then? 2 updates, WIS update 12/24/24 and WIS update 1/8/25. These 2 updates gave us some hope things would be better with this ownership change.

However, since 1/8/25, no updates. When asked about the lack of updates at the end of January, WISBob posted on 1/31/25, "Yep - thanks for being patient with this one. I'll be getting an update out by the end of the week." 9 days later, no update.

Going silent on us after promising regular communication is why some of us have lost hope that this ownership change will be any different than previous ownership changes. Why should we believe this ownership is any different when they don't follow through on a simple commitment? We understand that major changes take time and that there will not be substantial updates to the site/games every 2 weeks. Just a short 2-3 sentence update (every 2 weeks as promised) telling us what is being worked on would help us be patient and keep the faith.

Things have been busy and we haven’t posted an update and for that I apologize. The first few were pretty large and having those large updates bi weekly is probably not sustainable as things take time obviously. It is good to hear what was said above that even a few sentences would be helpful just so you know what we are working on. We will be better on this in the future and hopefully soon once we are completely cut over from sports hub we will have some more exciting updates to share.

Lastly a note about ads,

We have not done anything since the merger in December and even a few months before then to alter the number of ads in any way.

Thanks for the update and responses. Some of us who have been around here a long time are a bit gun shy because at previous ownership changes there were promises made that were never kept.

As for the ads........The number of ads may not have changed but the locations where they pop up did change when you guys took over. That is probably why some think the number of ads increased.

To those complaining about the ads........Yes, they are annoying but without them the cost of the games on WIS would be much higher.

Thanks for the update. I agree that even small updates every couple weeks will be very helpful and encouraging to the user base. This is at least the 3rd time WIS has been bought out, and every time, there are big promises up front, but communication quickly dries up and little of consequence ever happens. Please break this trend!
