At SW Baptist (D II) 5 seasons ago in Knight I offered a kid a stereo and a throwback jersey. He signed, later I got email that a disgruntled employee had filed a complaint with WCAA. After investigation kid was suspended 2 games, I got probation (loss of 1 scholarship and no post-season) for 1 year.
After the probation period ended, the system did not restore my scholarship, and I had to send in a ticket, and then another regarding post-season eligibility. My reputation plummeted. After 5 seasons, including once not quite living up to promised minutes (missed by 1.7) and cutting a worthless Jr, my reputation has only recovered to a C. I applied for a new position this season, and was once again told that while I was certainly qualified, my references the new school questioning my character.
