D-I vs. D-II recruit with the SAME rating Topic

Hypothetically, say there are two players that have nearly identical stats and the same potentials. One is a "pull down" from d-1 while one is a d-II recruit.

Does this mean that the d-I recruits "high" potentials are better and the d-II recruits or that he will certainly end up a better player? Or is it just a flaw in the ranking system?

I've tracked a couple of very similar players from the last couple seasons and it APPEARS at least to just be a flaw in the ranking system...as the players improve more or less the same.

Anyone else?

it means nothing. there are some better players in DII than DI. There is no "cut-off" in talent where one side goes to DI and the other goes to DII.

Its the same in real life. There are many DII players that are better than DI players.

Glad that is the case.

Yes I have some d3 players that could play quality minutes in d2 and d2 players that are better(much) then my d1 team. Prestige, location and luck are all factors.
