there's always debate on best teams ever so i figured i'd start tracking RPI's over the years.  started with Wooden which just wrapped up and had a few record breaking numbers.  As soon as NT's wrap up and you got a high RPI let it be known here.

I really wish we saved the RPI of the GNAC (DII) and Big Sky(DI) when we had those conference dominating Phlean for several seasons.

I would bet that we would have both conferences on this list.

Bump, 'cause dan2980 has UConn in Allen at .7124 through 16 games (he's 16-0, 11-0 on the road, against the #3 SOS.)

The gap from #1 to #2 is bigger than the game from #2 to #30 right now.

The following gaps are roughly the same size:

#1-#2
#2-#30
#30-#94
#94-#187
#187-#275
#275-#315

there have to be way better conference rpis out there. i guess most people don't store them but im sure some do! this would be a really cool list if enough people submitted to get a serious top 10 or something, to set a challenge for all future conferences to earn a spot :)

i see where you are coming from mrpolo, that does make a sticky situation. plus im sure many of the best seasons are so long ago the figures are lost forever. i just think the list is a great idea, so i wanted to add a little activity :) if you still need a coach in tark or rupp id be happy to do it.

Damn, I had 8 losses that season (did win the National Title though). I knew I had the #1 RPI but I guess I didn't realize it was that high. There HAS to have been D1 Tark teams that had a better RPI than that though, has to have been.
