injury during trade process Topic

so I have a pitcher whom I agreed to deal, and we are ust waiting the 24 hours. Well he was scheduled to start and I changed his pitch settings but he still got hurt. He is only out 14 days. Will a trade go through if he is just injured and not on the DL? I have notified the other owner to see what he wants to do, but not sure how this works.

nope it will get nullified.

the injury has to be 5 days or less to go through.

Same thing just happened to me in Ron Cey, brad. Trade is nullified, but you can start working on a replacement deal immediately or wait the four RL days to do it.

this is why all players involved in trades should be pulled from the lineup..Then no one gets hurt!!

not arguing, but when you have a starting pitcher locked in and then traded, and you put his pitch count down to 10, and he still gets hurt, what else can you do?

Designate for assignment without waivers. Of course, you're stuck if the trade is vetoed.

Wouldn't designating him for assignment potentially cause a demotion penalty? If so, I'd be ****** if I were the team trading for him.

9 times out of 10, I can't remove pitchers from the staff. I don't keep a bunch of extra innings lying around. Just tell the other guy what you're doing and cross your fingers.

designatibg wouldn't cause a penalty but it would nullify the trade too i think. any roster move such as promotion, demotion, designating i'm pretty sure nullfies any trade.

You did the right thing, got HBD screwed, happens.

just to make sure though, he is only out 11 more days, once he gets down to 7 I could accept the trade again, meaning when it is processed he will be down to 4 days and it will go through?
