Question came up in one of my worlds that I thought was interesting, didn't know if someone could shed light on it, should anyone know or have a good guess to the answer:
How and when are IFA released in a world? ie, at the begining of the season are there x number of IFAs created, and they're slowly released thruout the season? Further more, if this is the case, are they released based upon their overall ranking so that the IFA studs are released intermittantly as the season goes along, or could you see 4-5 80+ prospects all hit the market the first week or two the season then never see another another 80+ prospect the rest of the season?
In one world last season I noticed there were a ton of solid kids (I'll say 4-5 that were all projected to major league regulars one day) that hit the market in the last week of the season, almost as if the system was "flushing them out of the bank". However, perhaps they were just randomly created in that time frame and there is no real rhyme or reason to how/when solid prospects get realeased or even how many are released in any given season.
