This is a hypothetical, but almost happened to me in one of my leagues. Let's say your "true" pick was 15, but because 2 Type D compensation picks got inserted in front of you, you end up drafting 17th. If you sign a Type A Free Agent, will you lose this pick, or will you retain it because you were "supposed" to be in the Top 16?

D picks are not considered in this calculation. If you sign a Type A in the hypothetical above, you will lose your 2nd round pick.
