I recently traded for a 35 year old pitcher, one of the best in the league. However I know his ratings will decline. he is asking for a reasonable contract, but my question is if I wait to see how his ratings decline will it still sign with me next year, or could he change his mind? i will sign him if he could change his mind, but if he will sign next year as well, no problem....

if he is still one of the best in the league, then he will still be effective for 2-3 more seasons...also increase your training budget.
