Is it possible to get to a point of diminishing returns when it comes to home visits or campus visits?

I know no one knows exactly how much a hv is worth as compared to a campus visit, but is there some ratio that you think works best? This is mostly in D1 when you might have to give a recruit 30 home visits and 10 cv or 40 and 5 or 20 and 15 or ???

I base mine on distance - within 360 miles I go heavier on Home Visits but after 370, I go with more CV. I dont remember the exact numbers, but closer range a CV is more then 2 times the cost CV, but at the further range it's like 1.7 times the cost or something like that.

maybe one of the guys in the Outlaw Conference can try this with their entire recruiting budget next time they have 6 recruits?
