Same distance but different costs Topic

Has anybody ever seen this. I'm currently recruiting 2 guys in Rupp that are both exactly 200 miles away from me but the costs for HVs, CVs and Evals are different. Here's what I sent to CS:

"Recruiting has just started in Rupp and I am currently recruiting two players who are both listed as 200 miles away but their recruiting costs are different. Sarabia's costs are: Home Visit $339, Scouting Trip $189 and Campus Visit $824. Joy's costs are: Home Visit $415, Scouting Trip $265, Campus Visit $1025. If both are 200 miles away why are these costs different?"

They round up or down for the distance. If a guy is 196 away vs. 204 away, he'll appear as 200 either way. But a player under 200 has the lower costs. (For whatever reason, the vast majority of guys at 200 seem to have the higher cost.)

i was noticing that when i search for players within 200 miles, some of the guys who are listed as "200" miles away show up and some dont. i guess its the same deal.

CS responded and gave me the exact distances. I never realized this was done I always assumed they rounded and somebody who was 196 miles away was the same as somebody who was 204 miles away. In this situation one guy is 196.4 miles aways and the other is 200.2 miles.

So a 4 mile diference translateds to $200 more for a campus visit? What could the rationale be?

I guess it's just the scale increase. I'm not sure what the scale is, but 150-199 could be the same price and then you get a bump at 200.

there's a bump at 200 and a second at 360. And you will see rather dramatic differences in costs depending on whether the actual mileage was rounded up or rounded down to those figures.

The difference at 200 miles is around $75 evaluation/$75 home/$200 campus. The reason given was a trip of 200 miles requires an overnight stay.

At 360 it's about $235 evaluation/$300 home/$220 campus additional. I believe the reason for the jump here is the 360 mile marker is the difference between driving and flying.

There's also a jump around the 1500 mile mark. Something like +$350 for a home visit. Maybe that's allowing for airfare, overnight hotel accommodations and a hooker.
