Just looking to get some input on who should play SS, 3b and who should be benched. I was thinking to opt for the better defense with Randle at 3rd and Dickerson at SS.

DIckerson is really the only option @ SS. Randall is a much better hitter than Sele and a much better defensive player, so I'd play him @ 3B.

Sele is barely a 3b and should never play at SS. Randall's a good option at 3b, Dickerson is a major league defensive SS with a terrible bat.

Hands down Dickerson at SS and Randall at 3B. Sele isn't really a ML player.

Sele has no business being in the Majors.

Leo Van Poppel has almost identical ratings to Sele, and has had a very fine ML career. Not a superstar, but a legit MLer.

Sele can play more positions than Van Poppel. I would have NO problem with him on my team as a starting RF (not SS or 3B), or as a bench player to spot start at 1B/LF/RF (or 3B in a pinch).

Yes.

Against RHP it's probably a push at worst to play Randall at SS and Sele at 3B; Dickerson just can't do anything against RHP. But what I'd really do is bench Sele, who's a nice bench player at that salary; try to find a platoon partner for Dickerson and that 18 VsR in Rule 5; and keep Randall at 3B.
