Once a recruit signs with your team he goes directly to the active roster and not into recruiting limbo. This way we can set depth charts, shooting distros, practice mins, etc. while we are killing time during that dreadful last day of recruiting. I signed all 4 of my recruits in Rupp on the 1st signings cycle. It seemed like an enternity waiting for rosters to update and recruiting to end.

jmo.

Second this idea.

I agree with most of the points above, but would like to add another. One of my biggest problems is the hiring logic within a division, especially D1. I think it is absurd that there is little consideration given to a coach that has taken a horrible team and brought them to respectability, but has not reached a sweet 16 or better. To advance from the lower level of D1 you need consecutive years of postseason entries or a standout run through the NT. This seems wrong to me, and I think this is one reason that this game cannot hold on to coaches. People 'stall' in the Patriot, NEC or Sun Belt even though they can win 16-20 games per year and make the NT every 2-3 seasons. Granted, I don't think these guys should get the Duke job (if open) but they should be given a chance at a mid level opening. Right now the jobs board is often a joke where all openings are a 'step backwards' or 'not qualified.' Consideration should be given to experience and a program's relative improvement.

net, I think there is some credence to what you're saying, although in HD, it's pretty easy to really improve a small conference sim simply by getting human recruits and some decent coaching in there, often against weak competition. So the significance of the "turning the program around" aspect pales in comparison to real life.

And while I also agree that it's silly that so many schools appear as a step backwards, what you simply need to do is ignore that, and evaluate if you think the move will be a clearly better situation long-term. If you're at Dartmouth, and the sim is saying step backwards for Pitt because they've been down recently, I'd still say that is a clear step up for you. Follow your common sense, not the step backwards advice, and you'll be fine.

One problem Ive been thinking about a little bit if 3 point frequency. Why is it that when I have a guy set at 0 he will take about 80-100% of his shots from 3? I thought 0 was supposed to be in the flow of the offense not every shot has to be a 3.
