cburton makes a great point. Unless you can sign your chosen player for next to nothing, he's not worth jeoparizing other long-term talent. Good luck.
And cornfused is probably right. For just one year, B can get rebounds, block or change a few shots, and not get pushed around as much as A (with the 17 ATH). His 42 DEF is much less than optimal, but he won't be playing enough for opposing coaches to game plan a #1 scoring option against him. And with the low ATH, A wouldn't be called on to score anyway, so his strengths, relative to B, are much less important.
