What success have people had with using a pitcher coming off one or two days rest?

If he starts the game at 100%, he'll probably be OK. But it will take longer for him to recover back to 100% for his next start.

If you start him at less than 100%, you could be asking for trouble depending on how much below 100% he is.

Check out any of my 3 current teams. I've been experimenting with a 2-man or modified 2-man rotation for the past season+. In essence, I have to end up treating everyone on my staff (including "SP") as though they were setup A guys and having very strict and low limits on each pitcher's PC, so that they only pitch at 100%.

I experimented with training camp pitchers at 0%. They maintained their crappy numbers they produced at 100% but were injured with alarming frequency.

This probably doesn't help much, since I'm sure you're not hoping to reproduce crappy numbers, but it should calm down the "HE'S THROWING 0% PITCHERS IN AA" people since a crappy pitcher at 0% is just as good as a crappy pitcher at 100%.

0% pitchers give up 30-50 runs a game.. You can't honestly think that's the same as any crappy pitcher at 100%?

So let me get this straight. Mike is tanking his minor leagues?

A) I don't honestly care what you think. I ran pitchers at 100% for half a season and the same pitchers at 0% for the other half. The difference was negligible. Put a decent defense behind a crappy staff at 0% or 100% and it won't matter(at least in the lower minors).

B) No. First, "tanking your minors" is a misnomer. You get nothing for winning in the minors so tanking isn't really an option. Second, I did it in my 2nd/3rd season of JBelle at one level to test a theory. Please see (A) for the results.
