Sweet this has taken awhile

In response to several owners' questions about my request to not rename the AAA players, here's the rationale:

In the past there have been concerns about owners who know the identities of their AAA players benefiting from lopsided trades with owners who do not know whom they are trading. Using the players' real names was an attempt to prevent that problem, but if owners give their players misleading names it would defeat that purpose. If I have Len Whitehouse but rename him Mariano Rivera, it is misleading.

I'm not sure how this effort will work since support says there is no way to turn off the renaming option, but wanted to give it a try this season.

If anyone is bothered by not renaming his players, by all means go ahead and change the names. But it would be best for the integrity of the league if they were renamed for players who have similar abilities. For example, if I have a Red Sox team and one of my AAA relievers is lousy with a penchant for giving up the long ball, I should rename him "Way Back" Wasdin or "Fasten Your Seatbelts" Slocumb, not Rich Garces.

Sounds like a good idea....and its really not that hard to see what you are trading for if you just do a bit of research. Click on actual stats when you look at the players offered in the trade and you are good to go.

You're able to see AAA players' actual stats? If so, I can't figure out how to do it.

So we don't bump down leagues trying to fill with our discussions, please use the league forum. Everyone in the current AAA league should have access to it. Please let me know if you don't.

I think he may of meant in-season stats. If I interpreted it correctly, I think he was talking about mid-season trades.

Actually I meant ratings...the AAA players, if you click on them will offer up their ratings to look at. If you see an offer of ratings, you know its a AAA guy.
