I'm not sure why anyone would want to chase you off the forums from seeking opinions from more experienced players. That's pretty much what the mentor program is for and a lot can be learned from these forums when people aren't being rude.

As for this player, with his current ratings (and I don't see him improving much more), you should be able to find a better player to backup LF/1B. But if you're looking for minimum salary talent to fill a void, he's not terrible.

There was no "chasing from the forums". I was simply educating him on the fact that you can only get so much USEFUL info from the forums. None of us know how a player will perform in his world. As tankerwood just noted, the first response was bad advice.

Example: I have a starting pitcher on one of my abandonment pickups in one world who's a CY finalist. I don't think he'd get the time of day in some of my other worlds.

I didnt take mike as rude this time, have definitely taken him that in the past towards other people, but not this time. I understood what he was saying about researching other players in my world, and I felt that he understood what I was saying about listening to everyones opinions and developing, and about learning from observation.
