Agreed. I still try to redshirt someone every season.

as do i when possible.....it's just my opinion they had more impact when they improved all 5 seasons

I think that the new release should fix the problem I have had where players hit their max skill at the beginning of Junior year. That has happened a couple of times, and when you redshirt a mediocre player that just doesn't improve, it is torture. My current PF was the #45 overall player out of HS with 85 WE, but with all that WE, he peaked after Soph year and never got to 800 overall, including his current 95 WE, which is meaningless with the current setup.

still a good game despite the constant crying by the loud minority.

I agree it's a good game, but I'd challenge the assertion that it's a minority that has issues. First, the numbers speak for themselves, and many people have (the # of sim teams is huge). Second, even many of the users who are still here (including many of the respected vet users) have voiced similar issues.

I mean, even seble has openly admitted to most of the problems that people have brought up. That speaks for itself.

So yes, it's a good game, and I'm hopeful that seble will be able to address some of the bigger issues in the near future, we know he's working on them and I give him credit for that. But at this point, trying to paint it as though it's just a small handful of loud, whiney users that have an issue is simply not reflective of reality.

dalt, i get it to a certain degree. its just the same things being rehashed over and over and over ad nauseum (usually by the same users) that has just gottent under my skin lately. my take is that the game will never be perfect, its entertaining (or i wouldn't play) and some just take it way to seriously. i may be in the minority but i like the unexplainable. it keeps things interesting for me. some seem to want every situation to be explained (from player progression, to statistical anomolies in each game, to outlying game outcomes etc. and its normally when it doesn't fall there way). the questioning of every detail in every boxscore and the EE is just to much at times.

the other interesting point is that a majority of the vocal minority (and it is a minority dalt) have outstanding records and don't seem to be on the wrong side of the "coin flip" most of the time.

just my thoughts.

I agree that some of the stuff we see (threads started, etc.) can border on the silly and excessive w. outliers and the like. I'm with you there.

But again, when seble himself comes out and admits there are very significant problems in the engine that they're trying to fix, I'm sort of puzzled how anyone could contend that everything's working as it's supposed to be. Furthermore, I'm still confused by what you continue to term as the minority, given the mass exodus of unhappy users we've seen and the consistent comments on the open forum. Even most of the happy users admit that there is improvement needed. When seble says it, it's not worth debating. It's fact.

I say minority due to the fact that a majority of users don't even post in the forums. thus, it would be impossible for a majority of users to be in agreeance with some of these issues. others may not care enough to post or just play the game and let others carry on the cause but you can't count them in the major problems camp. its consistently 20-30 users who carry the torch on these forums.

as for seble, he has said that there need to be adjustments and that is going to happen. just can't wait to see the result and subsequent fallout for those who aren't happy with the "new" game. you know its coming.

No, it would be impossible for a majority of users to agree in the forums.

Again, it extends beyond the forums. Read the CC's. And most importantly, look at the dwindling #'s. That speaks louder than anything in the forums.

as for seble, he has said that there need to be adjustments and that is going to happen. just can't wait to see the result and subsequent fallout for those who aren't happy with the "new" game. you know its coming.

And as you pointed out, the majority of the consistently vocal people are very successful coaches. It it were schlubs complaining about things, that'd be one thing. But it's the people who know the game best, along with all the people who've , along with the guy who runs the game.

And you can continue to claim it's a minority, but I've yet to see practically anyone come in and say, "I think things are working exactly as they're supposed to be!" Including the guy who runs the game.

So I guess that group would be the real minority.

I don't think "very successful coaches" is a realistic definition of the majority of the consistently vocal people in the forums.

i dont get the "constant crying" complaints. i mean, is someone expecting to see threads started along the lines of "hey, my results were pretty normal last night. good job wis."?

naturally people are more likely to post questions/concerns.
