coahing IQ relative to level Topic

I was just curious and wanted to hear some other opinions on the matter...

Lets say I have a AAA hitting coach with a 76 hitting IQ and a AA hitting coach with a 74 hitting IQ...If the AAA coach is below avg for the level and the AA coach is above..Would a prospect be better off with the higher IQ (in AAA) or the higher IQ relative to the level (in AA)

He'd be better with the better coach. But I would think that the difference between a 74 and a 76 is not very substantial.

You should also be considering the patience and discipline ratings of the coaches, as well as the patience rating for the prospect. Promoting a prospect too quickly to a level above his abilities may slightly hinder his development.

The numbers were just for the sake of the example. I was wondering more whether you thought it was just some linear formula (76 being better than 74) or some standard deviation of the coaching IQ's at a particular level that than translated into some sort of multiplier on "normal" progression

I would guess linear. A 76 is a 76 (for example). Doesn't matter what the other guys have.

Well, yeah, probably so.

But that's just an opinion, of course. No way to prove it.
