He'll succeed just fine as long as you don't have butchers on defense. If your infield defense is solid, his numbers could turn out real good. He'd definately have a spot on my team. His slightly lower than ideal splits look like they're being made up for by the his stuff. And I had not looked at his projected ratings before writing the above. I agree with some of the others so far though, that I wouldn't expect him to progress a lot more than he is now.
All of this of course depends on the context of your own world.
