What's the lowest glove rating that an OF should have? I have guy I would love to move from 1B to LF/RF. I'm just worried about his 41 glove. Any thoughts about a low 40's glove?

My advice is to keep an eye on him if you do. I watch defense a lot in my leagues, kind of my thing, and sometimes it isnt too bad, but sometimes you get an OF with 20 errors and 13 - plays

if his arm is strong and accurate enough (Preferably, at least high 60s) he should do solidly in RF. If hes a great hitter, then he wont kill you in LF either

I agree with both of the previous responses however the recent update has supposedly increased the importance of defense. At this point none of us know how this will affect things but as swamphawk stated if you keep an eye on errors and - plays you should be ok unless he doesn't produce enough offense to compensate for them.

I have used a RF with a 65+ range and arm, but a 42 glove, and he was fine. He was a back-up, but didn't make any errors in about 50 starts over two seasons.

Similarly, I've used a RF with a 75+ range and glove, but with a 61/56 arm, and he has done very well. Three errors in 145 starts, and seven + plays and no - plays.

Ive had RF win a gold glove with a 38 glove. If his range and arm are good he'll do fine.
