Title parity between divisions Topic

In Allen world, there have been:

DI: one team with 4 titles, two with 3, five with 2, and 25 total with an NC.
DII: one team with 4 titles, two with 3, six with 2, and 26 total with an NC.
DIII: one team with 4 titles, one with 3, six with 2, and 26 total with an NC.

Just an observation - it seems like the titles are getting spread out by the same amount in every division.

interesting, especially since the % of humans at each level has been ever-changing , especially in the early years.

much more parity in Iba

DI: none with 4 titles, none with 3, ten with 2, and 28 total with an NC.
DII: none with 4 titles, four with 3, two with 2, and 28 total with an NC.
DIII: one with 4 titles (bastard), one with 3, four with 2, and 29 total with an NC.

and not sure what this says about tark. what is the opposite of parity?

DI: one team with 8 titles, one with 4, four with 2, and 25 total with an NC.
DII: one team with 9 titles, one with 7, two with 3, two with 2, and 19 total with an NC.
DIII: one team with 8 titles, one with 4, one with 2, and 28 total with an NC.

you suck.

that was a bullcrap loss. i saw it coming because you have been playing like crap and getting unlucky, you were due for some luck and did you ever get some.

oh well, 15-14 my brother, 15-14.

and that dont even count my to game lead from the early days.

and you kel?

cant sleep because you just scored the biggest win your your hd career?

now we both seem in danger of missing the dance. i gotta believe its just a statistical thing that will even itself out in the next 10 or 12 games.
you have the advantage of a tough conference that will help your SOS and as long as you can win 10 games or so in conf play, you oughta sneak in.

i should have a decent chance at another 16-0, but my sos is going to fall so far that if i lose one or two, i might need to win the CT to sneak in.

You can go 12-4 in conference and still probably get an at-large. I probably need AT LEAST 10 wins and probably more like 12 to drop my rpi enough. That was a huge win for me though. My RPI would of been over 200 going into conference.

Do you seriously remember that you have a 2 game lead from before they kept track of records? You very well might but I don't trust your memory from like 4 years ago.

Not sure how this is possible.

DI 4+6+10+25=45

DII 4+6+12+26=48

DIII 4+3+12+26=45

Did DII play 3 extra seasons? Or was there only 1 team with 3 NCs?
11/17/2009 10:01 PM
what he means is that for instance, in D1, there have been 25 schools with AT LEAST ONE NC.

so

DI (4*1)+(3*2)+(2*5)+(1*17)= 37 seasons (25 different schools have won)
DII (4*1)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*17)= 39 seasons (26 different schools have won)
DIII (4*1)+(3*1)+(2*6)+(1*18)= 37 seasons (26 different schools have won)

oops...hmmm... i think you made some wrong assumptions but came to the right conclusion fencedude!

I think im gettin cornfused!

PS, i would think Allen has probably played 37 full seasons. Possibly 38, or close. but my guess is not quite 38. Im pretty sure it is slightly yonger than Iba, and Iba has played 38 full and is 9 games into our 39th.

So maybe he shoulda said D2 has 24 total with an NC? (which would mean 15 schools with exactly one NC)

Good catch oldave. Allen is in Season 38 right now.

But the numbers still don't match up for DII.

It is interesting that basically the same number of schools have won it at each level though.
