Probably has something to do with the fact that most of the best players in college can play 30+ minutes per game effectively. Whereas you don't see that happen at all in HD. Even 100 stamina guy set to come out when they get tired play 28ish minutes per game.

That and the fact that the ratings are so close there are no dominating players on the floor at any time.

Also the fact assists never happen.

It's like near impossible to have anybody besides a PG get 10 assists, and even that rarely happens. But it also isn't really that common in real life college basketball. Generally when somebody gets a triple double you'll hear something like it was the 3rd in that program's history. It's pretty hard to get a triple double in 40 minute games. It doesn't really happen that often in the NBA with 48 minute games, and when it does most times the players gets a rebound or assist in the final couple of minutes.

I've only had 1 triple double in all the seasons i have coached. Thomas Christiansen with my Rhode Island team first ever coaching job i had in wif , he was 6'3 guard- he had like 12pts, 12rbs, 11 asts.

Triple- Doubles in real college basketball are not so common. Last year Greivis Vazquez had a triple-double against UNC and it was the first for a MD player since 1987. So the fact that it's rare in HD is not so crazy.

Chris Mills is the only player to have one for Kentucky, before he transferred to Arizona.

I think in the NCAA tournament it's only happened twice.

David Edwards (Texas A&M), Penny Hardaway (Memphis State), Tony Lee (Robert Morris), Gerald Lewis (SMU), Shaquille O’Neal (LSU), and Kevin Roberson (Vermont) each recorded two consecutive games with a triple-double

Michael Anderson (1986 at Drexel), Brian Shaw (1988 at UC Santa Barbara), Jason Kidd (1994 at Cal) and Stephane Lasme (2007 at Massachusetts) each recorded four triple-doubles in a single season

There have been 8 Triple Doubles in the NCAA tournament. Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, Gary Grant, Shaquille Oneal, David Cain, Andre Miller, Dwayne Wade and Cole Aldrich.
