Sorry for the triviality of this topic, but I couldn't find the information in any previous topic or in the FAQ's.

How long does it take to hear from a school after you've applied for the coaching job? Does it depend? I applied at 1:58 PM and have yet to hear back.

Most people know better than me but...

If the school outright declines you, you're told quickly.
If school hires someone else, you're told quickly.
If your hired, you will know it quickly.
If you submitted at the beginning of the hiring process, you gotta wait
24 hrs 'till actual hiring begins.

The long wait occurs when the school will probably hire you but is waiting for another (better) coach or is trying to decide between two equal applicants.

Again, i really have no idea though :)
