recruit off/def iq? Topic

how important is it that you recruit players that already know the offense or defense, or even both?

I'd ignore it unless they have to be a starter right away. Even then, I'd only use it as a tie-breaker. It's fairly easy to improve IQ

It is only important if the recruit will play right away. You save about 1/2 season of total duncehood if you bring someone in with IQ in your schemes.

I only look at it when recruiting transfers and jucos. For example, I would never recruit a 1 year transfer if he has no knowledge of my O/D.

I think it is critical for 1 year transfers and pretty much critical for transfers and jucos who arrive with 2 years only

for regular recruits, it is at least a tiebreaker - and if you need the kid to play more it should be more than a tiebreaker
