signed an 18 year old IFA pitcher early in the season...59 patience, 66 makeup. he's got some work to do before he's ML ready and will need at least 3 minor league seasons and i'd normally starting him in loA. only problem is that i played roulette with my loA and hiA pitching coaches and lost. so here are the options with the pitching coach ratings and the bench coach pitching rating in parentheses (no idea if it even matters):

loA 43 (43)
hiA 41 (65)
AA 74 (42)

where would you stick him?

Mind if I tell you where to stick him?

Start in LoA. Give him a dozen starts. Promote to HiA. IFA's, in my experience, don't seem to follow a "normal" growth pattern in S1.

i've suspected the same thing about IFAs- you don't how much "juice" they really have to get better until S2 ST ends.
