Some interesting stuff in this thread by some of the better coaches of the game. I think I could fill the front page of the forum with underachieving players (particularly in the low post lately). Have two guys graduating on my Stanford team in Tark that never shot better than .455 for an entire season (one guy never did better than .444 despite being the No. 2 PF, 3 overall, as a freshman.

One thing about HD is that there tends to be more tendency to play minus defense. This may explain a little of what you see in the low post. I looked back at some of your games, and went back to your last 14 games, and in 12 of the 14, your opponent started at -2 or even more extreme.

Once again this game gets very confusing as you guys have said, there's a lot of factors that make no sense (ex the passing thing). It makes it very hard to know if your gameplanning efforts are really making a big impact and then to decide what types of players to recruit. Seeing things like this truly make me feel the "coin-flip" perspective at times.

I will say that At Brandeis several seasons Ago I had a point guard, Wiggens, with mostly middling ratings except for ball handling which was good, and passing which ended up at a 98. IN two seasons he was injured, and every game he was out the shooting percentages of the whole team suffered horribly. Including a five game stretch his senior season where everyone was shooting well, he was out for five games and they shot bad, and he was reinserted into the lineup. .and suddenly the shooting went right back to where it was without pause.

ANecdotal, sure, but still, the no effect thing from passing doesn't feel right to me.
