Coors Field Advice Topic

Make sure you have enough pitching. Your pitchers will throw a ton of pitches at home and your staff will wear down quickly.

My only WS champeenship was in Coors. You're pitchers are going to get killed no matter what. The team I had was an offensive freakshow (1500+ runs) but the pitching was really solid. My ace went 27-2 with an ERA almost 4 and this guy was 85+ rated across the board. You need high pitcher ratings in everything, but GB/FB is critical in Coors. Keep the ball in the park, and control is important because the less runners on base when the opposition launches bombs is a good thing.

Important pitching traits at Coors

I like staff stamina, you're staff can get worn out easily

Control - walks are generally field independent and thus not influenced by what field you're at, i would try and excel in this facet of pitching

GB pitchers, but not just to prevent home runs (although it helps also for sure) but also to help induce more ground balls...i would also like good defense (particularly up the middle) to help convert those ground balls to dp's
