emp, I think you went overboard with assists... I was with you till Pippen, and he was okay, but skiles doesn't work for me.

I would have put Wade at PG with Pierce at the 2, pippen at the 3. You should have all the assists you could ever need at this point. Nater is wonderful but doesn't have a lot of minutes... so I would look for a PF to make up for that rebounding load, then in round 6 get another 4 or 5 man with a lot of minutes and high reb%. Gasol's a great player, but he wasn't what the team needed imo... Wade/Pierce/Pippen will be all the offense you'll need (particularly if you use the right seasons of each).

Of course, it can be hard to find big guys to give you boards without scoring the ball a lot, especially toward the end of the draft, but I didn't dig the skiles pick. I would have grabbed someone to back up wade with the 7th round and/or got a scrub that had high usg% from the pg%.

still a good squad, but yeah, your lack of rebounding will come back to haunt you. That and the fact that you'll have several guys fighting over the ball on offense.

jakotay's team looks frightening like my championship team two seasons ago. A few differences, but not sure how big of differences they will play. If he uses the versions of Barkley, Allen and KJ I think he will, he'll have all three of his shot-takers with over 60% ts%, including the #1 of all-time (with a usage of 22.1% or higher).

I like it.

ps - scud has put together a very scud-like team: you sit back and look at his starting line-up and ask yourself, "How did he get 4 1st/2nd round picks and a 3rd rounder?"

Magic, Kobe and Person will provide a ton of outside firepower.

Magic, Haywood and Camby will clean the boards (kobe will contribute, too).

Magic and Kobe will help make everyone else shoot better (haywood says thankya)

I don't even care about the bench (though it's important, and scud will put together a great bench beyond his two picks he already made)... that starting line-up has no apparent weakness (not even turnovers, as he's going to use very efficient seasons of magic and kobe).

ash - I had to see what the passing would do. . .I couldn't come up with the defense I wanted (90+ for 4 starters) and still have enough minutes, so I decided to see how well these guys will score the ball. I'm solving the usage problem by having Wade come off the bench to lead a second unit that is very slim on usage. . .I'm hoping to have both of them score 30 a game. I really don't know how it's going to turn out, but hey - it's my first draft league. I expected to make some mistakes, and I'm always going to be creative.

And scud's team? Damn.

It was a lot tougher trying to pick the last couple in this conference. Midwest is a little better than the Pacific. The Western Conference as a whole is much better than the Eastern Conference.
