So what do you look for when looking for a good scorer? Is it PE, LP, a combination, athleticism or what? I am still confused on this.

What position? ATH and LP for Big men; SPD, BH and PER for guards. For SFs, you want it more balanced between ATH/SPD and LP/PER, but I prefer to have it skewed more to the SPD/PER side for my SFs.

BH and IQ work as well with those mentioned above.

Good FT shooting helps, too.

False.

It doesn't hurt, and if you game plan properly, it helps to a small degree. For a good scorer, the difference between a 60% and 80% FT shooter is about a half ppg. That said, I'd rather take somebody with great cores and a D FT rating than a guy with A FT rating and bad cores. But if you have both, then you have an even better scorer.

It might be only a half point a game, but it can hurt very badly in individual games. Standard deviation is important as well: FOr example, losing a game because a scorer goes 3 - 11 on free throws.

I would say SG is the big scoring position. A SG with high speed and Per can melt defenses. If you funnel offense to him then you're talking about 25-30 ppg.

Ive always found the most consistent offensive players are always big men just like in RL. You can get big guys to average double figures and shoot +.500 pretty easily. You dont even have to give them a lot of distro if they are good rebounders too because they will get lots of putbacks.

BH at this position is a very underrated attribute, it can significantly enhance your scoring ability.
