Just wondering. Given their Health rating is equal, compared to say a SS or CF is a 1B less likely have an injury? Simply based on the nature of their position? More obviously, I assume this is definitely true for a DH.

I believe injuries typically occur when someone is involved in a play. So since a SS sees so many more balls hit to him than, say, a C, I'm sure a SS is more likely to get injured.

Ah yeah you're right, bad example. Let's say LF then for example. I know someone once figured out the percentage of balls that get hit to various positions but I forget where it is-- but the essence of my post was that players who are involved in more plays will get injured more often.

As far as positional guys, I've not seen anything to suggest a position is more likely than any other to be injured. I believe it's safe to say the a guy who plays nothing but DH is less likely to be injured. But as for the rest of the positional guys it seems to be pretty much even.

BUT if you were to include ALL positions than without a doubt Pitchers are the most prone to injury!!
