D-ratings development: 2B or CF Topic

If I have a prospect, and I'm not sure whether he'll end up being a 2B or a CF at the ML level, but I want to maximize the growth of his defensive ratings, which position should I play him at in the minors?

There are more plays at 2b than cf. I would put potential SSs at SS and put 2b/cf types at positions where they can succeed, even if its in the minors. Higher range guys at 2b, better glove guys in CF. I don't think it'll effect development much either way.

If you believe the "players develop better at tougher positions", you play him at SS. Assuming you don't have BL SS at that level. I don't believe that the way it works but, if you do, the obvious answer is "SS".

FWIW, 2B is the second hardest position on the defensive scale.
