I always understood durability to be a particular player's ability to recover from an injury, while the injury itself remains ramdom.

Might be realistic, but NO FUN! Just like major injuries to high durability players. Possible? yes. Fun? NO.

Agreed, some smart HD coach once said, "Just because it is good in real life doesn't mean it is good for HD"

In my discussions with seble has seemed to agreed with that statement.

Personally, I'm neutral on them depending on implementation.
Because they worked so well last time?

YOu got me there, I can't comment on last time because I wasn't there. I'm just talking about the concept in general. I know nothing about its execution last time.

All players bounce back from injuries at about the same rate; their health improves around 6 points a game.

As I understand it, durabilty does play into the severity of the injury.

A player with a high DUR rating that suffers an injury may see his health rating drop to the mid 80's. He'll be back to 100% healthy in about 3 games.

A player with a lower durabilty rating, that suffers the same injury, may have his health rating drop to a 60. Meaning it's about 7 games until he's back to 100%.

Granted that is how it works in real life, but it's not generally like that in HD, is it?
When you have an extra $50K per team, you can do a lot of things that may not be typical.

or was it the 50k in post season money? or was it the fact they don't battle each other, which is becoming a pretty common success theme in this entire game if you watch for it (packs of coaches who hunt together, no drafts, no sitemails or emails, just a careful watchful eye, nothing illegal about it
i actually had battles with ACC schools with 2 of the 3 recruits i signed. One battle was very small but the other one took a good chuck of change until he backed off. We do battle a little bit....

Wake actually is in some trouble and lost a battle to Syracuse. Even if they sign their last guy (#1 SF battling OR) they will only fill 3 or 6 schollies. Unless they find a couple undecided to fill in.

I went and plucked the best SF (IMO) right out of ACC country (Virginia) in Allen. I am not scared!

Nice work Pork, someone has to stand up to those ACC guys. Me, I only battle em when the likes of Florida State tries to come and recruit Dallas kids.
