"Coach, just wanted to touch base on your decision. While I realize it's your program, I think I could definitely have made an impact this season. I don't think it's fair.

I just don't think it's cool that you didn't say that I would be looking at a redshirt season when I got here."

His WE went from 65-21

Should I remove his redshirt?

YES, its not worth the WE drop.

Maybe try it with your frosh PG.

I would remove it, yes. And if/when you do, his we will be restored. You can also try re-redshirting him and there is a chance he could take it w. out the we loss (though most times he will lose more, but you can always remove the RS again).

Yeah, either remove it and keep trying it on him and hope for a lower WE loss or just remove it try it on another player.

Remove it then try again after the first exhibition game. If he still refuses (i.e., you get the WE drop), then remove and try again after the second exhibition game. They usually take it after the second exhibition, but if he doesn't then I'd suggest no redshirting him.
