I guess this is going to come across as sour grapes, so apologies for that, but why is there no comment anywhere that if you purchase a team using the promotional discount that the Future Stars Scouting Service isn't included?

I've read through as much info as I can while waiting for the Smith world to roll over, noticed that you couldn't use red shirting or withdraw a scholarship early unless you had at least two years booked - figured that was fair enough as otherwise you'd be having a long term impact on the team without committing to sticking around. But nowhere can I find anything to say that what sounds like a crucial element of the recruiting process isn't included either.

Now I feel like I've either thrown 4.95 away on half the product I was offered or have to shell out another $12.95 just to try it out properly.

Wait a minute. Has the jobs period ended yet? If not, then you will have access to FSS after all the jobs are settled; just prior to the start of the recruiting period. That is when you get your recruiting cash. From your post sounds to me like you just don't have any cash to use it because you aren't in the recriuting period. Not that you should use it anyway.

No, it just wasn't available whether I had my recruiting $ or not. It's blocked unless you pay the full price.

In the end it probably didn't matter - I just had to spend more on scouting trips, but I do think it would have been more effective to spend it on FSS so I had a better idea of who to target. Recruiting $ weren't really an issue as I had 7 slots to fill and 5 of the guys I was interested in ended up signing with less than $1000 spent.

I'm sure it won't make a huge difference to trying out the season and probably a lot of people don't read through the forums like I did to even know about it before signing up.

Basically I just think it shouldn't be something you find out about after you've paid money for the product.

Anyways, looking forward to the start of the season
