Just start up a sms service that coaches could subscribe to and text them alerts on their recruiting.

Just tell the fam you'll be back in 15 minutes every 3 hours, you have to "recruit" players in a basketball game on whatifsports.com...I don't see what the big deal is.

I tend to agree. Its really not that hard to get away for a couple minutes. I find it quite nice to get a few minutes to myself during all the crazy time.

I too am of the ilk that there are too many recruiting cycles before signing day as well though.

Tell them you have to check your email, you're expecting a reply from someone.

YOu don't have to tell them that someone is a 6'8" Power Forward from a high school in Utah, who doesn't exist int he real world.

My parents and girl friend (she is REAL!) have grown to accept me as the nerd that I am and thus, allow me to WIS-appear for a few minutes every few hours....even on holidays!

Same here. I usually get the "You spend too much time on that website!" and I think to myself "At least you only think it's time I am spending..."

kendrik...you might post something in the other (christmas eve) post about your willingness to help others out with recruiting. it seems that there are a lot of people WAY too busy to do any recruiting!

15 minutes every 6 hours does it, if one times it just right......

....so there was the time that I was at a wedding receotion.....not mine......but it was coming up on the results from that all important 2:00 pm ET cycle on the day after signings started......just had to slip out to the car in the parking lot...., pop the broadband card into the laptop, check, see that I got the kid and get back inside before I was missed.....

This is why I upgraded my phone to a blackberry. A couple of my cousins play too, so at least a couple people will understand.
