Draftees- Who gets the credit? Topic

I have only had a few players drafted, so this situation is new to me. I switched schools this off-season, if a player that I recruited to my old school gets drafted, does the old school get the prestige bump, or does the bump go to the coach at the new school?

Your old school gets the bump, you do not get any credit as a coach as you have to recruit the player and be there when he leaves to get credit.

The old school gets the school prestige bump and since you coached the players this past season you get the coach prestige bump. If you look at your coach resume you should see the player listed under your number of players drafted.

Thanks guys. There is a chance that nobody gets drafted, or if they do it will be in round 2 so the bump would be minimal no matter where it goes.

Yeah, the only negative is they aren't going to show up on your 'drafted players' list and you as a coach don't get credit for having recruited a drafted player but that is minimal increase in terms of helping recruiting and what not.

Ok, but if they graduated the same year I do I get the credit as I recruited them and coached them for 4 years?

That's not true. I coached at Murray St. in season 11. After the season I moved to Tennessee. When I look at my coach resume for that world, the two players from Murray St. that were drafted season 11 show up on my players drafted list. If any players get drafted from E. Tennessee St. this year, he gets credit.

Yeah cuz you were there when the season ended the year they graduated, if they had season 12 you would not have gotten credit.

OK, so I would get credit for this years guys if they get drafted, but a kid that is a junior right now I wouldn't get credit?
